In the fourth chapter of Tuesdays with Morrie, entitled “The Audiovisual” Albom explains the day when an ABC broadcasting station came into Morrie’s house to interview him. The chapter starts out with the explanation of Morrie’s life with many caretakers and a death sentence. Morrie was not going to sit and wait for death but instead he was going to accept death. He wrote little bit sized philosophies, for example “[a]ccept the past as past, without denying it or discarding it.” Albom then goes on to explain the process of the interview between Morrie and Koppel, the interviewer.Morrie first asks Koppel a couple of questions then they talked and laughed for a while. The interview continues with Morrie talking about how he will face death. Albom finally explains how this program on tv caught his eye and he went numb.
