In the 12th chapter of Tuesdays with Morrie entitled “The Professor”, Albom flashes back to Morries childhood. When Morrie was just 8 his mother died and Morrie became very sad. His family went through depression and his father got a new wife. Morrie liked his new mother but they still went through poverty. When Morrie became 18, his father took him to the fur factory but Morrie thought it was too dirty and condensed for his likes. Morrie could not be a lawyer or a doctor, and that is how he became a professor at Brandeis University.
